Big drop.

We had to shoot a scene where the two lead characters jump from a huge cliff as a sort of right of passage. Most of the crew jumped as well. My ass stayed safely on the ground. Call me a pussy if you want. Anyway, look at that drop. The rigging is to capture the fall from above. We did three set ups so the cast had to jump three times. Better them than me. It looks great though.

New York based director Richard LeMay's new feature film WHIRLWIND has been chosen as an official selection of New York's NEWFEST: Film Festival. WHIRLWIND also screened as an official selection of the Out on Film Festival in Atlanta, winning the audience award for best feature. A second screening was added after selling out. LeMay and Emmy award winning writer/producer Jason Brown teamed up to produce the movie. WHIRLWIND is a drama set in New York City featuring some of the most talented young actors in new York. WHIRLWIND also features music form FL Jones, Mike Levey and Karmine Alers. Currently LeMay is producing the feature film DAYBREAK which shoots in the Bahamas this summer. Last year LeMay Produced and co-directed a documentary entitled MOVE. MOVE was launched in conjunction with photographer James Houston's global charity event with sponsors HUGO BOSS and VANITY FAIR Magazine.
