WHIRLWIND
TO PREMIERE AT OUTFEST IN LOS ANGELES

Los Angeles, CA [June 18, 2008] – Jupiter Box Productions today announces the Los Angeles premiere of Whirlwind that will screen as part of Outfest 2008: the 26th Los Angeles Gay & Lesbian Film Festival. A dramatic feature that focuses on a group 30-something gay men living in New York City, Whirlwind will premiere on Tuesday, July 12 at 9:30pm at the Regent Fairfax Theater (7907 Beverley Blvd. in Los Angeles). Directed by Richard LeMay and written by Emmy-Award winning writer Jason Brown, Whirlwind is a surprisingly honest depiction of the friendships and relationships of gay men in their 30s living in New York City. The film features an all-star cast that includes some of New York’s top actors, including Broadway’s Bryan West (Wicked, Hairspray), Brad Anderson (A Chorus Line, The Boys from Oz, Damn Yankees), Karmine Alers (Rent, Aida) and introducing Alexis Suarez and David Rudd.

Whirlwind was an official selection of NewFest: the New York LGBT Film Festival, the Melbourne Queer Film Festival, and recently won the Audience Award for Best Feature in Atlanta’s Out on Film Festival.

New York based director Richard LeMay's new feature film WHIRLWIND has been chosen as an official selection of New York's NEWFEST: Film Festival. WHIRLWIND also screened as an official selection of the Out on Film Festival in Atlanta, winning the audience award for best feature. A second screening was added after selling out. LeMay and Emmy award winning writer/producer Jason Brown teamed up to produce the movie. WHIRLWIND is a drama set in New York City featuring some of the most talented young actors in new York. WHIRLWIND also features music form FL Jones, Mike Levey and Karmine Alers. Currently LeMay is producing the feature film DAYBREAK which shoots in the Bahamas this summer. Last year LeMay Produced and co-directed a documentary entitled MOVE. MOVE was launched in conjunction with photographer James Houston's global charity event with sponsors HUGO BOSS and VANITY FAIR Magazine.
